Carteezy App is supported on most Android and iPhone smartphones.

You can download the app by navigating to this link from a web browser on your phone. If your device is supported, you will be directed to the precise download page for your device.

If you try to download Carteezy on an unsupported device, you will receive a message that your device is not supported and you will not be able to download Carteezy. We at present do not support tablets or Wi-Fi only devices, and do not plan to do so in the foreseeable future.

We support most Android phones which meet the following requirements:

  • Your Android phone is running Android 2.3.3 or later
  • Your Android phone is able to receive SMS or calls during the verification process.

You will also need a data plan in order to receive updates when outside the range of a Wi-Fi network.

We only provide limited support to tablet users and we do not support Wi-Fi only devices at this time.

Note: : iPod and iPad devices are not supported at this time.

We do not explicitly restrict the use of jailbroken or unlocked devices, however because these modifications may affect the functionality of your device, we cannot provide support for devices running modified versions of the iPhone's operating system.

Carteezy App is free for users, we uses your phone's Internet connection (4G/3G/2G/EDGE or Wi-Fi, as available) to send and receive your listing and update to your friends and family. As long as you have not exceeded your data limit or you are connected to a free Wi-Fi network. Carteezy App.

If your phone is roaming, additional mobile data charges may apply.

If you send SMS messages to your friends inviting them to use Carteezy App, service charges from your mobile provider may also apply.

Carteezy App uses the same Internet data plan as web browsing and email on your phone. If using your cellular data while roaming will normally result in additional charges, you may be charged extra by your mobile provider for using the Carteezy App while roaming. Contact your wireless carrier for details about international roaming countries, SIMs, rates, and policies. If you do not have an international data plan, we suggest you turn off data roaming to avoid data roaming charges.

We ask for your phone number because that is how Carteezy App routes your Listing and updates among you and your contacts, similar to how an SMS system would.

Your address book information

Carteezy App users do not have access to your address book data, we value your privacy and we have not, do not, and will not ever sell your personal information to anyone. If you would like to learn more, please take a look at our Privacy Policy that helps explain our information practices.

Carteezy App uses the phone numbers from your phone's address book to deliver you an up-to-date list of Carteezy App users you know, to make it easier for you to have an interactive Shopping Experience and share your listing via Carteezy App. Carteezy App frequently looks at the phone numbers in your address book and then checks to see which of those numbers are verified in the Carteezy App. During this entire process, phone numbers are sent to Carteezy for lookup, securely over an encrypted connection. So that you know who you are interacting with, the app then displays the names from your address book.

The Left status indicator next to the User icon tells you about the contact status selection of their availability and emoji indication refers to the user interaction to a specific item listing.

The most common reason why you cannot find the icon is because you have not added any members to your default listing group, or you are not a member of a private group.

The Group Listing feature lets you List up to 128 people at once. It is a great way to do interactive shopping, and lets you update your shopping status with your family, friends and colleagues. In addition to the maximum number of people, you can also join a group. There are a few more things to keep in mind about Group Listings:

  • You may create an unlimited number of groups
  • Every group has one or more administrators. Only administrators can add or remove participants.
  • Only administrators can make other participants administrators.
  • If the last administrator leaves the group, a new administrator will be randomly assigned.
  • Each group can have individual identification colour.
  • Each group can chose their own photo icon.
  • You can always control your own participation in a Group listing by staying or leaving the group when you wish. Remember that only group administrators have the ability to add participants. If you have any questions about being added to a group, or prefer not to be added, please speak to a group administrator.
  • If a member is not in your contact list, you will still receive item listing and attribute changes if this contact posts into any group(s) you have in common. Likewise, they will still receive item listing and attributes changes you send to those groups, this will happen and be controlled based on your privacy selection.

The most common reason why you cannot connect to CarteezyApp is because your phone is temporarily disconnected from the Internet: To ensure you have a working Internet connection, go through the following steps:

  • Make sure you have a data plan on your carrier's network, or a Wi-Fi connection with Internet access.
  • Make sure that the signal strength of the Wi-Fi or data network is good and the phone is connected to the network.
  • Open a webpage in your phone browser to see if it loads. If it does, your phone is connected to the Internet.
  • Reboot your phone.

If you still cannot connect

If you cannot connect to the Internet through your phone's data network, try one or more Wi-Fi networks. If you can open webpages and run other applications which connect to the Internet on your phone, but Carteezy will not connect; learn more about connection issues

If you can connect to other applications on your data network, but not Carteezy App, it could be that your mobile provider has configured your wireless access points to block certain mobile applications. Contact your mobile provider and ask them about different access point settings to run Mobile apps.

They will guide you through a process in which you will manually configure your data network and web settings.

Carteezy quickly and easily recognizes which of your contacts are using Carteezy by accessing your phone's address book. To add a contact, simply save their phone number in your phone's address book. In the contact screen tab a + symbol will appear next to contact Name.

If you cannot see the + symbol next the contact name in Carteezy contact page, please follow these steps:

  • Make sure that your contact has Carteezy installed on their phone.
  • Make sure that you saved your contact's phone number correctly in your phone's address book
    • If it's a local number:Save the number in the same format you would use if you were to call that contact.
    • If it's a foreign number: Save the number in full international format
  • + [Country Code] [Full Phone Number].
  • Omit any leading 0 from the phone number.
  • Open Carteezy refresh your contacts.

An Item property screen allows you to change priority, update your availability or status, send or respond to a shopping request, change quantity attributes, see the availability of other members and add non-listed item to your catalogue. Your updates are broadcasted to other listing members instantaneously. Recipients receive your update in a status update box and these are updated directly in the individual fields.

The status update box is displayed with the latest update but individual fields are permanently saved with individual updates.

In order for these specific updates to work, the Carteezy app retains a copy of the individual updates to allow users to view these updates and respond to other listing members. We work hard to improve our messaging system so that everyone has a real-time conversation tab for the best interactive shopping experience.

Sending a shopping request, changing a priority flag of an item, updating your availability and responding to a listed item with your family members, friends and colleagues are in some ways to enrich your interactive shopping experience on Carteezy and to maintain a meaningful communication with your close ones.

At all times, you will see two icon images next to each item in your shopping list , the small icon indicates who added the item to the shopping list and the larger icon indicates who has recently responded to each individual item. This can typically occur if a member changes a priority flag, updated their status, responded to a shopping request, or a member marked the purchase of the listed item.

We ask for your phone number because that is how the Carteezy App routes your listing and updates between you and your contacts, similar to how the SMS system works.Carteezy uses your phone number as your login ID.

You also need to set a password for feature verification in case you have to login back to Carteezy after a re-install or application updated.We highly recommend you provide an accurate email address so that you're not locked out of your account if you forget your passcode.

You will not able to change any item status if the item is marked as Bought by another member. If an item status is changed to ” I bought” by any of listing member, then Carteezy changes the Item property page to read only.

Recommendations and suggestions you may receive containing offers for something which might interest you.

Our Terms of Service

One way we help you stay safe on Carteezy App is through our Terms of Service. Our Terms of Service set forth the activities on the Carteezy App which are prohibited. For instance, submitting content (in the status, profile photos or messages) that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, intimidating, harassing, hateful, racially, or ethnically offensive, or instigates or encourages conduct that would be illegal, or otherwise inappropriate violates our Terms of Service. We will strike off a user if we believe that user is violating our Terms of Service.

On Carteezy App, , we have created some basic controls that you can adjust as you see fit to help you protect yourself:

Control who sees your information

You can set the visibility of your profile photo, personal Info, and/or status to the following options: Everyone: profile photo, Personal Info and/or status will be available to all Carteezy users. My shopping list members: profile photo, personal Info and/or status will be available to your default group members only.My Private Group Members: profile photo, personal Info and/or status will be available to private groups of which you are members only.

My shopping list & private group members: profile photo, personal Info and/or status will be available to default group and private groups of which you are members only.

Nobody: profile photo, personal Info and/or status will not be available to anyone.

You can also decide what to share with your contacts on Carteezyand we encourage you to think carefully before you decide to share something. Ask yourself: would you want others to see what you've sent? Please be advised that we do not retain your listings after they have been marked as bought or you decided to delete them. Once an item listing is marked as bought, the item will be removed from the Carteezyserver after a selected time interval.Items are added to your Carteezy shopping list, to help you manage your daily shopping and to have an interactive shopping experience.

To ensure the prompt delivery of incoming listing and notifications, your phone must be correctly configured. Make sure your phone has an Internet connection

You can check this by opening a browser and going to a website. If browsing doesn’t work, please follow these connection troubleshooting steps. If browsing works, but Carteezy please contact your mobile provider and system administrator and make sure that your APN and router are configured correctly to allow non-web and socket connections. You may also try a different connection. If you are connected to Wi-Fi, try mobile data or vice versa.

Make sure background data is not restricted

  • Open your phone's Settings app > Apps > Carteezy > Data usage.
  • Make sure background data is not restricted.
  • Repeat the above steps for Google Services.
    Additional troubleshooting
  • Restart your phone, or turn it off and on.
  • Reset app preferences by going to your phone's Settings app > Apps > Menu Button > Reset app preferences.
  • Prevent power saving mode from activating, for example by leaving your phone plugged into a power source.
  • Keep your Wi-Fi on during sleep mode by going to your phone's Settings app > Wi-Fi > Settings icon > Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep > Always.
  • Uninstall any task killers. These will hinder the app from receiving listing and updates when you are not using it.
  • Launch the Hangouts app and sign out of all of your accounts. Then re-launch Hangouts and sign back on.
    OS specific additional troubleshooting
  • Android 4.1 – 4.4
    • Make sure that Auto-sync data is turned on in your phone's Settings app > Data usage > Menu Button > auto-sync data.
    • Make sure that Wi-Fi optimization is turned off in your phone's Settings app > Wi-Fi > Menu Button > Advanced > Wi-Fi optimization.
  • Android 6.0+
    • Make sure ‘Do not disturb’ is turned off, or you have allowed Carteezy notifications in priority mode in your phone's Settings app > Sound > Do not disturb.
    • Make sure all of Carteezy’s permissions are granted in your phone's Settings app > Apps > Carteezy > Permissions.

If none of the above steps help, it is possible that you are not receiving updates from Google's push notification service.

Carteezy quickly and easily recognizes which of your contacts are using CarteezyApp by accessing your phone's address book.

Finding your list of contacts

  • Open Carteezy App and go to the contact tab.
  • Tap on the + symbol next to the required contact and to add to default group or private group.

If you can't see your contacts

  • Make sure that your contacts has installed and is using the Carteezy App.
  • Make sure that you have saved your contacts' phone numbers in your phone's address book. If they use a foreign phone number, use the full international format.
  • Make sure you have allowed the Carteezy App to access your phone's contacts in your phone's Settings app.
  • In your phone's address book, make sure that all accounts and groups are set to "visible" or "viewable".
  • Choose to show all your contacts, not just the hidden ones by opening Carteezy App > Settings > My account > Contacts > Show all contacts.

Uninstalling Carteezy App

To uninstall Carteezy App, go to your phone's Settings app > Apps >Carteezy > Uninstall.

Installing Carteezy App

  • Please follow this link. It will navigate you to Google Play where you can tap Install to start downloading the app.
  • Open Carteezy and continue to the next screen by agreeing to our Terms of Service.
  • Select your sign in method.
  • Select your Gender , Enter Your Display Name , Select your country , Enter your Phone
  • Lastly, Set your Password

You can also choose your profile picture later by going to Settings and tapping on the camera icon on your profile picture.

You can delete your account from within Carteezy.

Important: Deleting your account is an irreversible process; we cannot undo a deletion if you complete the process by accident.

Using the Delete My Account feature in Carteezy will

  • Delete your account from Carteezy.
  • Delete all your listings from Carteezy shopping Items
  • Delete you from all member list
  • Delete you from all private groups

To delete your Carteezy account

  • Open Carteezy
  • Press Settings > Delete my account.
  • Enter your phone number and tap Delete My Account.

Note: We cannot delete your account for you at this time.

Every item in your shopping list is added with the Elective Flag; by taping the flag in Item Screen you can change the priority to Urgent.

Select the item you want to change the priority and tap the Flag once to change to urgent; a second tap again will revert to previous priority.

Item listing allows you to instantly add the item you wish to buy for yourself or share with your family, friends or colleagues. It provides an enriching interactive shopping experience, and you can ask your family, friends or colleagues to buy it for you, you set the importance of the listed item, modify the quantity or even update your availability by using our built in tabs which are communicated automatically between members in your list.

To add shopping items, simply tap which brings up your catalogue

By default the Carteezy App is set to manually delete items, but you can customize to remove items automatically after purchase.

Note – there is no way you can recover items once deleted from Carteezy App.

To remove an item on a pre-set interval after purchase, go to Carteezy App > Settings > List > shopping List > Delete Purchased Item after.

Carteezy App detects which of your contacts are using Carteezy App by reading your phone's address book.

Adding a new contact

  • Save a contact's name and phone number in your phone's address book.
    • If it's a local number: Save the number in the same format you would use if you were to call that contact
    • If it's a foreign number: Save the number in full international format:
    • + [Country Code] [Full Phone Number].
  • Open Carteezy App and go to the contact tab.
  • Tap the plus icon next to desired contact.

Note: If you have no private group, the contact is added to your default shopping list group immediately.

If you have private group then the list of private groups are displayed for you to select the appropriate group to add the contact.

If the contact is already a member of certain group, the group list will omit that group in its pop up group list.

If you have a private group the default group is displayed as

Troubleshooting

If you can't see your contacts:

  • Make sure you have allowed Carteezy App to access your phone's contacts in your phone's Settings app.
  • In your phone's address book, make sure that all accounts and groups are set to "visible" or "viewable".
  • Choose to show all your contacts, not just the hidden ones by opening Carteezy App > Settings > My Account > Contacts > Show all contacts

If you exit a group, you will be removed from the group listing, but you can still leave the item you have added in a group. If you are the only group admin and you exit a group, a participant is chosen at random to become the new admin. To exit a group:

  • Go to Carteezy App
  • Tap on the group name.
  • Tap the Group preference Icon
  • Tap Exit Icon
  • Chose you selection from the window
  • Tap to OK

You may create an unlimited number of groups. To create a group:

  • Open Carteezy App and go to the members tab.
  • Tap the Add icon select
  • Tap in title , this will open a text box to name your Group
  • Add an image icon to the group by tapping camera icon and Choose to use your camera or your photo , gallery, to select an image.
  • Add a colour to the group by tapping the colour wheel icon this will show up the colour panel Select your desired colour for the group
  • Tap the Plus icon Next to the name of desired Group participants to add them to the group and tap the green update icon when you are finished

  • Go to contacts in Carteezy App
  • Tap the Add Icon next to any contact you wish to add
  • Tap to the group from the dropdown list you wish to add.

You must be a group admin to remove participants from an existing Private Group. To remove participants:

  • Go to the group in Carteezy App.

Any admin in the group can make another participant an admin. A group can have an unlimited number of admins. To make a participant an admin:

  • Go to the group in Carteezy App.

Carteezy App quickly and easily recognizes which of your contacts are using Carteezy App by accessing your phone's address book and prompts you with an add icon and invite tab. You can send invitation requests via any medium such as, whats app, messenger, email or SMS. To invite a contact:

  • Tab icon next to contact
  • Chose a method to send an invitation request and send the request.

Item listing allows you to instantly add the item you wish to buy for yourself or share with your family, friends or colleagues. It provides an enriching interactive shopping experience, and you can ask your family, friends or colleagues to buy it for you. You can add items to your private list and those items are only visible the private group members.

To add an item to a private group

To add shopping items, simply tap add list icon which brings up your catalogue

To change the quantity of an item:

  • Go to Carteezy App > shopping list
  • Tap to the item you want to change quantity
  • Tap to quantity Selection tab
  • Use your keyboard to change Text
  • Tab OK to accept the change.

Carteezy App allow users to create an item which is not listed in catalog and allow other participants to add those items to catalogs by tapping Add to my catalog tab. This will make that item available in the catalog for next time to add in to shopping list.

Carteezy App allows users to view individual user listings and navigating to a group will display individual user listings inside a private groups.

To view and modify individual user listing

  • Go to Carteezy App > Members

Find Individual user listing count at the right side of each member. Tap the selected user to view listed items in details, and tap to any item to change any of its attributes.

Listing tones are the sounds played when you send and receive a listing. By default, your conversation tones are turned off. The volume of conversation tones is controlled by your phone's notifications volume.

To turn these tones on/off:

  • Open Carteezy App.
  • Go > Settings >
  • Turn on your notification by selecting your favourite tone in each section.
  • Tab OK to accept the change.

Keep in mind that adjusting the Listing tones settings will adjust only for the selected listing only.

You can easily view and filter your pending invitations and respond to each invitation by accepting or ignoring by using one of the icons below.

We strongly recommend that you only accept invitations to connect from people you know. You can view sender profile by clicking the user icon and selecting profile icon.

If you want to block this contact you can select the ‘Block Contact’ icon from the user profile.

Profile photo

  • Go to the Carteezy App > Settings.
  • Tap your profile photo > Camera icon.
  • You can choose a photo from your gallery, take a new photo with your camera, or remove your current photo.
  • Make sure you have allowed Carteezy App to access your photo gallery in your phone's Settings.

Status Message

  • Go to the Carteezy App > Settings.
  • Tap the Pen icon next to your profile photo and create your custom message.

You can create a custom about or select a pre-filled about.

Note:

  • Your ‘about’ cannot be empty.
  • You can customize your privacy settings to control who can see your profile photo, about and status.
  • If you block a contact, that person will not see any updates to your profile photo, about or status.

When you block a contact on Carteezy App, you will no longer receive Carteezy listing, messages, or status updates from them.

However, there is one important feature blocking does not change

If a blocked contact and you are members of the same private group, all update and group activity will be received as anonymous user for both ends. You must exit the group in order to not receive any update from the blocked contact.

You can stop receiving Carteezy App listing, messages, and updates from certain contacts by blocking them.

To block a contact that is added as a member or invited number that is not saved in your phone

  • Open the Carteezy App.
  • Tap the member icon image
  • Tap the profile information icon`
  • ` Tap the ‘Block contact’ icon.

To manually block a contact

  • Open the Carteezy App.
  • Tap the > Settings > My Account
  • Tap the block a Number icon.
  • Select Country
  • Enter the number
  • Tap block

To unblock a contact

  • Open the Carteezy App.
  • Tap the > Settings > My Account
  • Tap the unblock icon next right to the contact's name.

You can personalize your product catalog according to your usage in Carteezy App.

Hiding individual items from your catalog

  • Open the Carteezy App.
  • Tap the ‘Add’ item icon
  • Browse through catalog and tap to ‘Hide’ icon located left to the selected Item

Hiding an entire category from your catalog

  • Open the Carteezy App.
  • Tap the ‘Add’ item icon

Unhide an individual item from a hidden catalog

  • Open the Carteezy App.
  • Tap the ‘Add’ item icon
  • Browse through the catalog and tap the ‘Menu’ icon located to the right of the category listing
  • Tap to show hidden items from the drop down list
  • Browse through the items and ‘tap’ to Unhide icon located to the left of the selected Item

Unhide entire category from catalog

  • Open the Carteezy App.
  • Tap the ‘Add’ item icon
  • Browse through the catalog and tap the ‘Menu’ icon located to the right of the category listing
  • Tap to Unhide All items from the drop down list

Carteezy lets you chat in private or within a Group Chat with up to 128 people at once for each item. It's a great way to interact your shopping requirements with family, friends or colleagues.

Note –

Default Item chat in product property is always a group chat, any message sent via the default item chat window will be received by all corresponding group members.

Private item chat in product property is always a group chat, any message send via private item chat window will be received by all corresponding group members.

Item chat is will not accept messages once the item is marked as bought, however users can view all previous messages until the item is removed from the list.

Private Chat

  • Open the Carteezy App.
  • Tap the member icon image
  • Tap the chat icon

Group Chat on an item

  • Open the Carteezy App.
  • Tap to the corresponding item
  • Tap the chat icon

How to send media in chat

  • Open the Carteezy App.
  • Tap to the corresponding item
  • Tap the chat icon
  • Choose icon to send an image.
  • Choose Camera to take a picture with your camera.
  • Choose Gallery to select an existing photo from your phone.
  • Choose Audio to record a message and share an audio memo.
  • Tap Send

  • Open the Carteezy App.
  • Tap settings
  • Tap personal information
  • Choose icon to enter your date of birth
  • Choose your Gender
  • Add your Memorable Dates , Enter your event name, and Select event Date
  • Select privacy setting
  • Note: Default privacy setting for Memorable Dates is set as ’every one’
  • Choose icon to share your information to Shopping list members only
  • Choose icon to share your information to private Group members only
  • Choose icon to share your information with nobody
  • Choose the icon to save this information
  • Check the box to agree to the Carteezy Privacy Policy & Terms of Service
  • Choose the icon to save this information.

  • Tap the icon next to item you want to update
  • Select your status for the selected item.
